Yes, I can recognize the signs that my skin is changing to at mature skin now as I am turning 55 years here in 2020. Among other things, cell activity is reduced, skin reconstruction becomes slower, collagen production decreases and damage from the sun's rays becomes more apparent in our face.
My lines get deeper, the skin flat (lack of elasticity), a lack of moisture and elasticity, often resulting in dry skin later in life. With good care products, you and I can reduce our fine lines, wrinkles and pigmentation spots.
Some of the areas where the skin shows changes when we talk about a mature skin type are:
So what can you do when you have a mature or aging skin?
Regular deep and delicate exfoliations are important for a mature skin. It helps stimulate blood circulation and promotes cell renewal, creating a soft, beautiful and shiny skin. As you exfoliate your skin, moisturizers, serums and oils penetrate your skin more effectively.
However, be aware that aggressive exfoliation and chemical peels should be avoided as they can instead provoke redness and irritation and that was not what I wanted to achieve.
One of the best things you can do for a mature skin is to treat it with plenty of moisture.
As mentioned, it is extremely important that you care for a mature skin and therefor incorporate a daily skin care routine.
Mature or Aging Skin The Must-Have Product: A High-Quality Eye Cream
Fine lines develop around the eye area first. That is the most sensitive area of your face, after all. Unfortunately, wrinkles also tend to be more visible there. That’s why I firmly believe that it’s never too early to start using eye cream.
Please don’t think of the individual products that I have listed as the only products you need to use. These are just recommendations on the products that you need to focus on. All of them should be a part of a more complete skin routine as advised by your dermatologist.

Cleansing Guide for a mature and aging skin type
Morning
Clean your skin with either oil or water. It will be optimal to use a moisture serum - because your skin is so dry. If you don't have the money to buy that kind of product, use instead a fatty moisturiser with a built-in sun block cream with SPF 15-30. If your moisturizer doesn´t contain a sun blocker - then use afterwards a sun blocker cream with SPF 15-30
Middle of the day
Lubricate your skin with sun blocker cream. This should be done primarily in the spring and summer. But the skin does not hurt by doing it all the year around. As mentioned, your skin really need moisture and protection against the sun as the sun is the enemy of aging skin.
Evening
Clean the skin with cleansing milk or oil. Please remember that all makeup should be removed. It's a good idea to use a night cream, especially designed for a mature skin type.

- Nourish your skin with high-quality moisturizing masks. It leaves the skin with a feeling of being taken care of and more relaxed.
- Choose creams that will rebuild your skin cells
