Avocado the fruit with a lot of benefits

Spread the love

Is avocado a fruit or vegetable? It is actually a fruit from Central America. The avocado contains much more fat than many other fruits. But even though it has a very high fat content, it is single saturated fatty acids, omega9, which helps to lower your cholesterol – so it is 100% healthy fat you get at the table when you put your teeth in avocado.

As mentioned above, Avocado has omega-9 fatty acid, which goes in and benefits your skin. It can suppress redness if the skin is irritated, as well as repair damaged skin cells that give the skin and healthier radiance. It can either be done by eating a lot of avocados, but you can also mash the meat and apply it directly to your skin - it especially helps to curb redness.

The avocado has so many good things and is clearly one of the fruits that it would be beneficial to have in its diet. I would say that it is only your imagination that limits how you can get this superfood into your kitchen and make the most beautiful meals. You can use it in avocado smoothie /juice  you can get a recipe for avocado juice here, avocado salad or make it the well-known classic Mexican guacamole with lots of garlic.

The avocado contains many healthy benefits to your body

This superfood is rich in omega-3,6 and 9, which helps to lubricate the skin from your inside out. In addition, it has also A, B, D, E and K vitamins, folic acid, magnesium, potassium, copper & iron that helps to strengthen your body – and at the same time, it is rich in proteins. I would say, that avocados are really a superfood, since it has so many good qualities for our body and health.

Avocado is also a superfood when we talk proaging / anti age

Yes the avocado is good for you and in the long in terms of the good qualities this superfood consists of in relation to the fact that we are getting old collagen levels in the skin. It is also rich in antioxidants, so it can help reduce liver patches in the skin that we, unfortunately, get when we grow older. D The vitamin in the fruit makes us strengthen our bones and it will also say our teeth and gums. Another good effect of vitamin D combined with the fat in the fruit is that it helps to reduce inflammation in your body.

As mentioned, the avocado is a really delicious fruit and a real superfood in connection with if we suffer from dry skin or if we speak proaging / anti age - see description above about proaging / antiage. Finally, I would like to mention glutathione, which helps to protect against cancer, heart disease, asthma, and cataracts - also something we are stuck with as the age of judgment gets closer. In short, it is better to prevent than to cure.

How do you store this superfood avocado ?

Store unripe avocados at room temperature. If you would like to speed up the ripening process, you can store the avocado in a brown paper bag with a banana that releases ethylene and speeds up the whole process. Never put an unripe avocado in the fridge or it will never ripen. Once ripe, you can store it in the fridge for a few days to prevent it from getting too soft.

How to prep your avocado ?

I think we all know if we have tried to ”peel” a an avocado that the flesh discolors quickly once removed from the skin. Don´t cut your avocado until before you want to use it.

Problem with ”peeling” avocado. Then use this pitting tool. It allows you to quickly remove the pit with a simple twist no more dangerous stabbing or losing fruit while digging it out with a knife or spoon. Scoop out the rest of this delicious fruit into perfect slices with the simple and efficient fan blade.

After prep of your avocado add a little lemon or lime juice to the cut avocado pieces. If you have made a guacamole and you don´t want it to get brown then use this little tip:

It may sound strange, but a thin layer of water on top of your bowl of guacamole will keep it from turning brown. It works better than just covering the bowl of film. Here's how you do it:

How to do it

  • Store your leftover guacamole in a bowl or plastic container.
  • Cover the guacamole with approx. 1 cm. lukewarm water
  • Add the lid or cover the bowl with film
  • When you're ready to eat the guacamole a few hours or days later, you gently pour the water out of the bowl without even pouring the guacamole, of course!
  • Thoroughly stir in the guacamole and voila: It is fresh and ready to eat
